It is a rainy Wednesday morning in Paris and I have 9:30 am reservation for the Louvre.
The main exhibit I have come to see is billed as … “LOUVRE COUTURE is a groundbreaking event that celebrates the relationship between fashion, art, and history, providing a unique and engaging experience for visitors.”
I had not done any research on the show other than reading a few articles on what’s in the show and generally knowing of the designers featured. There is a lot to see, and to see it actually takes some effort, because it’s not in plain sight.

Each item includes a brief ‘why’ this item was chosen for the exhibit, including any interesting reference used by a designer to create a work or a collection… this is haute couture moving into the art realm of endless conversations about curious creativity!

The details and craftsmanship are exquisite throughout.

I enjoyed the exhibit and appreciate the effort to present couture in a new way. After seeing the Worth show I can see how the early foundations that were established are what bring us to this new exploration of fashion.
