Parfum and Bibliothèque

Today the adventures include Musee Parfum and Bibliothèque nationale de France.

The museum is a simple three rooms with a collection of perfume related items presented historically, a history of the family & perfume making is simply laid out. Probably more popular than walking through this little museum is the perfume making class offered at the site. You can make your own blend with the assistance of a ‘nose’.

Founded in 1926, Parfumerie Fragonard  is now run by the great granddaughters, and is more of a lifestyle brand.  I was in a Fragonard shop and they sell not only fragrance, but home goods with a very south of France feel.

Making the oils:

Gotta love Catherine de Medici, she truly left her mark on so many elements of the arts.

The first Fragonard fragrance continues to be popular ‘Belle de Nuit’.

My favorite perfume bottle in the collection!
