Some creative ‘IRIS’ pursuits…
Creating a daily or weekly ‘ Iris collection box’ photo of what’s in bloom in the garden. If only you could smell the lovely blooms.

Experimenting with using spent iris petals as dye when pressed on paper. With a little research, I have learned that the iris was used in the renaissance to create a dye and ink, so I am going to pursue that practice.

Replicating the iris in silk and velvet. Based on a class taken from Tina at the Ballard Millinery Studio … dyed, cut and ready to be shaped and assembled by hand.

It was a wonderful ‘iris tour’ of exploration and curiosity … and so much more to learn!
AND … while out, the Peony was also on show.

A few more
